Story of Tara
🐾 Tara is looking for her forever family 🐾
Tara is a beautiful 3-year-old Cane Corso, proudly carrying her 40 kg of love. ❤️
She arrived at the shelter due to a change in circumstances beyond her control: one of her family members unfortunately developed severe allergies to dogs.
❤️ Her character
Tara is a very affectionate dog, close to humans and full of energy. She loves walks, physical activities, and especially sharing beautiful moments with her humans.
Very enthusiastic, she can sometimes be abrupt and difficult to channel. When a person or an animal catches her attention, she may fixate on them, bark with excitement or fear, react strongly, and try to approach them.
It is therefore important that her future adopters are able to remain calm and guide her confidently in these situations.
🐾 Her compatibility
👧 With children: Tara likes them, but her excitement can lead her to jump. Given her size and strength, this can be impressive, especially for young children.
🐱 With cats: Tara does not get along with cats.
🐶 With dogs: currently, Tara is very reactive on a leash when encountering her fellow canines. She has lived with another dog before, but can also show resource guarding and jealousy when attention is directed towards the other dog.
🏠 Alone time: when she lived with her canine companion, Tara could stay alone without difficulty. However, we do not yet know how she behaves when alone without the presence of another dog.
🏡 The ideal family
Tara will not be placed as a first dog nor in a household with other animals.
We are looking for a family with solid experience with dogs and a good understanding of canine behavior. Experience with the Cane Corso breed would be a real asset.
Her future adopters must be fully aware of her strength, size, and reactions, especially during encounters with other dogs and various daily crossings, in order to manage her calmly, consistently, and confidently.
Tara will need available, committed people who are ready to continue her education and socialization. Support in managing her interactions with her peers will be particularly important.
She is also an active dog who will need a family capable of providing her with nice walks, varied activities, and enough physical and mental stimulation.
Tara has a lot of love to give. ❤️
She deserves to meet a family that will understand her needs, respect her limits, and accompany her with patience, kindness, and commitment.
